My birth involved more intervention than I had planned so I was quite tired and fragile. Eleonora’s gentle but authoritative understanding helped to make me regain my strength and confidence on the home front.
Eleonora is also the most wonderful cook and her care and attention in the food that she prepared contributed enormously to a sense of being cared for that in turn built my strength and confidence in caring for my baby.
Eleonora seemed relaxed and extremely easy going and warm with all our family and her immediate rapport and care with our son was also very clear. She has a fantastic way with babies and her gentle spirit and nature, as well as her knowledge in the field of postnatal care and breast feeding support, was very much appreciated.
Just to emphasize how much we appreciated Eleonora’s expertise and support. She has clearly found her vocation and anyone would be enormously fortunate to have her as a postnatal doula.Anon - London
Eleonora has supported us as a postnatal Doula. We feel extremely fortunate to have found someone so well suited to this role. We didn’t really know quite what to expect from a Postnatal Doula, but she exceeded any expectations we might have had from the first day welcoming us home from hospital. She has offered great advice (always given with great care and thought), practical support and has given us the amazing gift of confidence and self belief as first-time parents – truly priceless! She is a great cook, happy to turn her hand to any household tasks cheerfully (and unasked!), is full of good tips from where to get a good baby sling, to more complex help on breastfeeding or addressing the inevitable concerns of looking after your first newborn. But it has been the natural and unfussy way she has helped guide us into our establishing our own patterns as a family together that has been so brilliant, helping us build a firm foundation in these early (and often a bit overwhelming!) days. The best investment we made for our first couple of months.Candida & Gordon - Islington, London N1
Eleonora helped me by looking after the twins and cooking healthy meals at a time when I was emotionally quite fragile because I was tired and had the pressure of finishing a dissertation – which I was able to do thanks to her practical support. She also helped me at an event I had to attend with the twins. She helped out with all the baby-tasks which are physical – carrying, changing etc.
Eleonora is amazing in the home. I only have a small flat, but she has such a lovely, gentle energy and is super-helpful and efficient at the same time. I was really comfortable with her in my home, and I think making people feel comfortable may be a unique attribute of hers.”Rhiannon D.T. - Crouch Hill, London
Hiring Eleonora as our postnatal doula was one of the best decisions we have ever made! We don’t have family in London and when I ended up having a c-section we immediately called Eleonora to come and help us. She was such a wonderful presence; not intrusive and just incredibly supportive. She helped us with household tasks, laundry, cooked us really delicious meals but most importantly she provided us with great emotional support in the early weeks. I had a lot of problems establishing breastfeeding and was very emotional following a difficult period in hospital; Eleonora helped me work through these issues and gave me practical advice to help with feeding (I have now been exclusively breastfeeding for over four months). She also has lots of tips and suggestions for local groups, baby equipment, etc. We couldn’t recommend Eleonora enough.Louise, Paul & Baby George - Crouch End N8
